We have an outstanding M&A experience especially in the German-speaking mid-market with a distinct expertise in the advisory of strategic and tactical aspects in the implementation of M&A projects. We coordinate and lead the entire transaction after consulting with our clients in order to enable the process exactly according to our clients’ interests.

Management
Carsten Frede is the founder and Managing Partner of H.C.F. Hanse Corporate Finance GmbH with nearly 20 years of corporate finance and M&A experience. He has been part of more than 50 corporate finance and M&A transactions.
Prior to establishing H.C.F. in 2009, Carsten Frede was Senior Vice President of an Investment Boutique in Munich responsible for the deal generation and execution as well as key account management for the Private Equity community with a focus on equity- and equity-linked-financing as well as acquisition-financing.
From 2002 to 2007, he worked as a director in the corporate finance team of Ernst & Young, where he mainly focused on mergers & acquisitions as well as on buyout transactions (MBO, MBI, OBO) of mid-sized / family-owned companies and subsidiaries. Prior to his employment at Ernst & Young, Carsten Frede spent 3 years with the multinational professional services firm Deloitte & Touche, executing numerous international M&A and corporate finance transactions. During this time, he supported many companies with their transition to the new market in Frankfurt.
Carsten Frede graduated from Otto-Friedrich-University, Bamberg, with a degree in Business Administration (“Diplom Kaufmann”). He is the father of three children and likes to spend his free time with his family in the mountains as well as with sports.
